Dairy Day and Livestock Event -2016
14 September 2016
Dairy Day

New Zealand Pump Company (Europe) representatives Claire Jenkinson-Johns and Ashley Fearn attended Dairy Day 2016 at Telford, UK on 14th September.

"It was great to be able to let our British customers know that the pumping principle in every Ezi-action® Drumpump was actually invented by a British man living in New Zealand. Today the Ezi-action® Drumpumps are both New Zealand and British made." says Claire Jenkinson-Johns, Owner and Group Managing Director.

"We received great positive feedback about the pump from everyone we talked to." said Claire "A farmer visiting the Dairy Spares stand said he had a couple. One in formalin and the other in diesel. He was very happy with the performance of his Ezi-action Drumpumps."

Livestock Event 2016

As in previous years New Zealand Pump Company (Europe) representatives exhibited the Ezi-action® Drumpumps on the Dairy Spares stand at Livestock Event in Birmingham, UK in July 2016.

Feedback from the farmers remains positive and appreciative of a quality product that more than meets their expectations. Farmers reinforced the comments from previous shows and as reported below.

"Ensuring that farmers are aware that Ezi-action® Drumpumps can last for 5-10 years in the dairy sanitisers and teat dips used in Britain, Wales, Scotland and Ireland meant that farmers quickly recognised them as excellent value for money," said Claire Jenkinson-Johns, Managing Director, visiting from the global headquarters in Hamilton, New Zealand.

The farmers visiting were keen to share their experiences and the interest and feedback was excellent.  "We like that they work and keep on working" said a British farmer.

Ezi-action® Drumpumps are the market leader in the UK and set the standard for hand pumps.

" There were two Ezi-action® Drumpumps with Safety Measures dispensing dairy sanitiser and teat dip in the dairy parlour at Livestock Event.  The unique number on the label of each pump means their age can be traced. These pumps have been in use for 5 years." said Ignacio Garcia who attended the Show on Wednesday.

Ezi-action® Drumpumps are not the cheapest pump on sale in the UK market but they are the best and the safest. Even with sodium hypochlorite which is commonly called " hypo" by the farmers and is a very aggressive chemical used as a sanitiser rinse, the farmers reported that they were getting 4 years life from their Ezi-action® Drumpumps.

A farmer from Peronne, Denbigh, Wales commented that the cheaper pump he mistakenly thought was an Ezi-action® Drumpump had the seals fail in two weeks. He promptly placed an order for the genuine Ezi-action® Drumpump delighted and confident that he would now get the reliablity and proven performance that was important to him.

"Ezi-action® Drumpumps were displayed by several of my customers that supply pumps with their dairy chemicals as well as on the Dairy Spares site" said Katie-Jo Thomas who visited the Show on Thursday.

The Livestock Event 2015 continues to be recognised as the leading b2b event for the UK livestock industry.

Dairy Day 2015 Telford, Shropshire, England. 16th September 2015.

"Farmers at this Show were eager to improve safety on their farms particularly with the use of AdBlue®, sodium hypochlorite, iodine and other farming chemicals that the Ezi-action® Drumpump range are proven to dispense," said Katie-Jo after attending Dairy Day and supporting our distributor, Dairy Spares in the UK.

Paul, a dairy farmer told Katie-Jo, “I have been very impressed with the service I have received from Dairy Spares regarding servicing my Ezi-action® 200/55 Drumpump.  I have had mine on the farm for over 4 years now and Dairy Spares arranged for service kits to be sent directly to my farm dealer. I also looked on the New Zealand Pump Company website and saw the video on how to service the pump, this was very useful and I would like to let your company know what a fantastic product you have”.

Katie-Jo noticed that farmers are now being more resourceful and investing in equipment that will help save time and money.  Diversification into new sectors such as pigs, chickens, beef, cattle and the most popular, sheep is apparent.

Ezi-action® Drumpumps have application throughout the whole of the agri sector in all on-farm activities including artisan food making.

The Ezi-action® Drumpumps are being used in cheese production, parlour cleaning, teat dip dispensing, pig & poultry house cleaning, disinfecting farm trailers, fertiliser application, farm vehicle maintenance (Oils/AdBlue®).

Katie-Jo stated, "Farmers are now saying ‘If it needs dispensing, think Ezi-action® - It will pump near enough anything!"

Interaction with satisfied customers made attendance very rewarding for the UK sales team at the 2014 event.

A dairy farmer from the South East of England advised Hayden that he had been using the Ezi-action® Drumpumps for 5 years and still had no requirement to change seals and was delighted to tell the team he found it as reliable as the day he bought it.

A retired farming couple advised Katie-Jo that they simply loved their reliability and cleanliness. They admitted to the UK sales team an initial and unfounded hesitation due to the modern look of the Ezi-action® Drumpump and credited their son for introducing them to Ezi-action® Drumpumps. Even with the on set of arthritis the Ezi-action® Drumpumps are proving to be easy for them to use.

As well as strong local interest the Ezi-action® Drumpumps created interest from Polish and Greek attendees.
