What Viscosity can be Pumped?
28 February 2017
Honey on spoon

Ezi-action® Drumpumps will dispense fluids of 8,800cps.

The ambient temperature is important. The product to be pumped needs to flow.

They are proven to dispense gels, honey, molasses, coconut oil, olive oil, motor oil, shampoo, conditioner......

Viscosity is measured at room temperature of 21C or 70F.

The table gives an indication of liquids that can be pumped with Ezi-action® Drumpumps:

Pumping Principle

The pumping principle behind every Ezi-action® Drumpump requires that the fluid fills up the inner chamber (plunger) and outer case pipe before flowing out the spout.

So, when the fluid is more viscous (thicker) a few more priming strokes are required.
