What is GDPR?
The General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/678 (GDPR) focuses on data protection and privacy for all individuals within the European Union and will apply as a new EU law from 25 May 2018.
What does GDPR mean for New Zealand Pump Company (Europe) Ltd and our customers?
NZPC (EU) holds data including email addresses and phone numbers of its customers so that it can effectively trade and inform. On occasion we may be required to share your email address with a logistics company to conduct trading.
Under the GDPR NZPC (EU) must:
- Obtain your agreement to opt in to any communications which we distribute, either for the purpose of doing business or in a marketing nature.
- Obtain your permission to hold your data and must inform you in cases where we do so.
- In the event that you do not permit either of the above, we must remove your details from our database.
Our Obligation to You.
To ensure compliance, New Zealand Pump Company (Europe) Ltd aim is to be as transparent and concise with data handling as possible. All our employees are aware of the GDPR requirements.
By doing nothing, you consent to continuing to receive our emails and communications.
